Lynch GM Superstore - Let's Go Racing Motorsports Show!

(Antioch, Ill., Thursday, June 8, 2006)—The Lynch GM
Superstore of Burlington, Wis. is combining efforts with Babicz Auto
Racing Services of Antioch, Ill. to bring together two longstanding
motorsports traditions.
Lynch has hosted a summertime motorsports show for the past 13
years. Babicz promoted the traditional spring time Let's Go Racing
Motorsports Show for 27 years. The two are coming together to
present the 29th Annual Lynch GM Superstore Let’s Go Racing
Motorsports Show. The show will be held 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on
Saturday, June 17 at the Lynch GM Superstore, 2300 S. Brown’s Lake
Dr.(Hwys. 36 & W) in Burlington, Wis. Headlining the
show will be the 2006 Chevy Race Tour display. Display elements
carried in two transporters include the Nextel Cup Monte Carlo #29
driven by Kevin Harvick, a ALMS (American LeMans Series) Corvette
C6R, a Cobalt modified drag car, NASCAR Craftsman Series race truck,
race engine display and XM radio display. Children will have the
opportunity to play X-box race games. Local
competitors from Lake Geneva Raceway, Great Lakes Dragaway, Badger
Kart Club, Lake Geneva Raceway Stadium motocross, along with others
from various dirt and asphalt racing facilities in southern
Wisconsin and northern Illinois are expected. Kevin
Dawson, promoter of Lake Geneva Raceway, along with Erin and Jamie
Aune, promoters of Nielsen Enterprises Suzuki Lake Geneva Raceway
Stadium Motocross facility, will be on hand to visit with fans and
answer questions about their race programs. Committed
to attend are the Mid-American sportsman cars of John Fischer of
Burlington, Erik Pierce of Lake-In-The-Hills, Ill., George Schultz
of Kenosha, Jack Rubach of Burlington’s street stock and Jeff Storm
of Waterford’s late model. The vintage original A-3 modified driven
by Johnny Reimer will bring back memories.
Representatives of Badger Kart Club of Dousman, racing snowmobiles
and the Rock River Powersports motocross team of Mike Duclos and his
8-year-old son Jamison, along arenacross and motocross rider Craig
Wyatt of Burlington will be on hand. Information,
schedules and other giveaways are planned throughout the day. Show
awards will be presented at 1:30 p.m. The Burlington High School
Demons soccer team will have refreshments available with proceeds
going to their program.
“I am very pleased and excited to be reviving the Let’s Go Racing
Motorsports Show,” said Babicz, show promoter. “I appreciate the
willingness of John Fischer and Lynch GM Superstore to join together
and bring two of the area’s biggest racing traditions together. They
have a great event going. I am proud to be associated with it.”
