Lake Geneva Final
Fall Classic Update!

2006) - It
is showtime for the Victor Ford of Wauconda, Ill. Final Fall Classic
presented by Bud Lite Thursday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 1.
Among those entered is NASCAR drivers Rich Bickle who will be
competing in the super late model class.
The weekend begins with the Ultimate Fan Appreciation Night on
Thursday, Sept. 28 featuring children’s race car rides, spectator
one on one races, timed laps for spectators in their street
vehicles, Big Wheel races for the youngsters, mechanics races,
powder puff races and more. Frank Moser of Antioch will have his
asphalt winged outlaw sprint car on display and be handing out free
samples of Jelly Bellies courtesy of Jelly Belly Warehouse and
Distribution Center of Kenosha and North Chicago.
On Friday, Sept. 29 will be the final Small Car Championships
sponsored by Bilderback Auto Parts and Quality Truck & Auto Repair
of Kenosha featuring Burris Circle Track Pro Karts, Rascal Outlaws,
Luisa’s Pizza mini-modifieds, BIDCA Dwarf Cars, Perfection Auto Body
Legends, INEX bandoleros, Allison Legacy Cars and Mini-Cups.
On Saturday, Sept. 30 will be time trials for over a 11 classes
beginning at 2 p.m. including Dunn Lumber super late models,
Performance Unlimited Big 8 Series late models, sportsman,
Mid-American stock cars, Body Craft of Antioch The BOSS winged
asphalt sprint cars, McHenry Limousine super stocks, Burlington
Glass & Radiator street stocks, Hermie Schultz & Sons Transport
enduro/weapons/pure stock 8 cylinders,sport trucks and more.
The Ultimate Lap Challenge final attempts will take place that
afternoon at noon with the all time track record of :14.260 set by
Jeff Bloom of Michigan during the Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series (HOSS)
Aug. 3 event is the mark to beat for a minimum $750 bonus posted by
Lake Geneva Raceway, Chuck’s Storage, Pedersen Drywall, Franklin
Racing Productions and Mark Melchiori Photos to be awarded on Sunday
afternoon in a ceremony including Johnny Reimer, the first ultimate
lap record holder on the old quarter mile oval.
Sunday afternoon will begin with very special pre-event ceremonies
at 12:30 p.m. including a wedding on the front straightaway. Racing
begins at 1 p.m. with semi-feature and last chance races followed by
main events to be highlighted by the final super late model stock
car 75-lap feature as the last race on the card.
A total of 11 features are scheduled on Sunday with super late
models, BOSS winged outlaw sprint cars, Big 8 Series late models,
Mid-American Stock Cars, Super Street Stocks, Street Stocks, Open
Wheel Modifieds, Midwest Super Trucks, Basic International Cars (BIC
4-cylinders), Enduro Series/weapons division type stock cars and
limited late models.

parties are planned in Low Places Saloon on the Raceway grounds on
Saturday, sponsored by Margie’s Go Fast Club, and Sunday, sponsored
by Image 1 Sportswear of Beach Park, Ill.
Sign X Graphics is assisting the Raceway along with FedEx Kinkos of
Libertyville and Lynch GM Superstore of Burlington as well as Dunn
Lumber of Lake Geneva.
Lake Geneva Raceway is located at 1015 Bloomfield Road, just
southeast of downtown Lake Geneva. Grandstand admission is $25 for
combined Saturday/Sunday adult ticket($13 for just Saturday and $16
for just Sunday), $12 for youth ages 8-12 for a Saturday/Sunday
ticket($6 for Saturday only or $8 for Sunday only); with youngsters
under age 8 admitted free accompanied by an adult.
Help out a great cause by purchasing a souvenir t-shirt or yearbook
from one of the volunteers representing a fundraiser for Army
Specialist Ray Hubbard of Darien, Wis. who was seriously wounded on
July 4 of this year in Iraq. Raymond’s wife, two children and his
parents are expected to be at the Raceway this weekend while he
continues to undergo rehabilitation at Walter Reed Medical Center in
Washington, D.C.
The final Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series Original Goblin 250 is
slated for Saturday, Oct. 7 at Lake Geneva. The final demolition
derby will be Saturday, Oct. 14 and the last spectator oval track
event will feature the return of the “Run What Ya Brung” show on
Saturday, Oct. 21 sponsored by A-Tire County Service of Round Lake,
Ill.
The last ever stadium motocross event at Lake Geneva will be Sunday,
Oct. 15 as. the final “End of an Era” Nielsen Enterprises of Lake
Villa sponsored high flying program will be held. Over 200 riders
are expected to compete beginning with the first round of motos
starting at 9 a.m.
