Besides Championships National Points at Stake
in LGR Small Car Show!

(Lake Geneva, Wis.,  September 25, 2006)-   In just a few short days the Lake Geneva Raceway will be the scene of the largest four day race show in the Midwest. Part of that program willbe the World Class small car championships.The raceway has now secured two sponsors for day number two on Friday night September 29th. Bilderback Auto Parts of South Beloit,Illinois a major sponsor at the raceway has come on board for this special show that has run all but the first two years of the Fall Classic weekend.Quality Auto and Truck repair of Kenosha was already sponsoring the show. Owner Lloyd Bellaire a former sport truck driver, said he was happy to share the spotlight with Bilderback Auto Parts, who have two great racers in their family.Ricky a six time champion at Rockford and Michael, a cousin who has made a big name in his young career at the age of 15,at the LGR track. Michael won two bandolero titles,took fourth in 2005 in the legend cars and is currently second in the legend point standings.

The Perfection Auto Body INEX legends car will hold their championship that night, with 17 year old Ernie Schaal, a third generation driver, out of Wauconda, IL.holds the point lead at LGR and is nationally ranked fourth. Michael Bilderback
is in second and not out of contention for the title and ranks second in the nation. There has been some regional interest from Michigan and J.D.Tenary from Bunker Hill, SC.who won the regional qualifier back in August, could made the trip up for this
show. Kyle LaPier from Belvidere,IL.scored a clean sweep in last years event, is third in the raceway points.

In the INEX bandolero cars, defending champion Kyle Palma of Delavan holds a slim points lead. Kyle Jusits of Kenosha, who won his second straight title in the Summer Shootout series at the Milwaukee Mile facility could give the 2005 champ
some trouble. Another driver who raced here only a few time, but ranks in the top five nationally Sloane Henderson of Franklin, Ohio could be the spoiler.

In the Luisa’s pizzeria mini modifieds Vince Heywood, a second generation driver from Antioch,IL. has a close contest with Curt Thomazin of Elkhorn.

The rascal outlaw series a traveling group will hold their championship here that night. Jeff LaSage of Elgin,IL.holds a small points lead, with Mark Findley of Ingleside,IL. in second.

Other divisions to race include for the first time in seven years, the Dwarf cars, the Addison legacy series, the Thunder Roadsters will make their first ever  appearance ever. These race cars like the bandolero, legends and legacy cars are available at the local dealer, Speedway Auto Mall located on Lane Road, in Machesney Park, Illinois. The Burris Circle track go karts will have selected  divisions race, with up and coming drivers competing. The super mini cup
cars and the new super mini cup kids will also be here. Also the Formula Indy and their sister division out of Michigan are also coming. If your divisions isn’t listed please call the raceway at 262-248-8566. This will be the first season the American/International short track cars are not on the program. Officials  will be at Rockford Speedway on Friday to see if we can get some of their drivers and the Jefferson Speedway cars that are there to commit. We need at least 10 cars to run this group. They put on a great show and on our third mile they should be very exciting, stated one of the raceway officials. This show is a great way to start off the biggest weekend in the Midwest. After we are gone, no one will have a show like this.

On Thursday Sept.28th. this big show will begin. The Victor Ford of Wauconda,IL. Bud Light Fall Cllassic will begin with a fan participating night, with spectators given the opportunity to take their personal vehicles on the famed one third  mile paved banked oval. Upon taking their lap, the person will get a certificate with their name, the date and the time they turned. Time permitting they may be able to take another lap. There will be big wheels and bike races for the junior fans. Parents are reminded that children that bring their bikes, must wear proper protection. There will also be powder puff and mechanics races. Spectator one on one drags will also take place. This will be a night of family fun events, starting at 7:30 pm.

On Saturday night Sept.30th. the heats and clash of champions will take place. The only division to have a feature will be the Wisconsin mini sport trucks. Over 300 drivers are expected in the super late model,street stocks,super street stocks,
Mid American, Big 8 series, Midwest super truck series, IMCA modifieds, pure stock divisions and the premiere of the BOSS outlaw sprint cars. Time trials begin at 1 pm. racing starts at 6 pm.

On Sunday Oct.1st. there will be last chance races and an afternoon of features, starting off with the Wisconsin mini sport trucks. The day begins at 1 pm.

If a raindate is needed then the show will be October 21st. for what ever events were not completed on Sunday. The “run what ya brung” will move to the 28th.
