Potter Takes No Bull Contest! By Dale R. Erdmann

July 15, 2006;  Lake Geneva, WI. - It was a 100 degree today when racing began  at Lake Geneva Raceway, Saturday night. Landry Potter of Genoa City won the all important 50 lap feature for the super late model race cars. It was round two of the three race series sponsored by Five Star race car Bodies of Twin Lakes. Potter walked out of the race with $1000 for his efforts. Salem’s Dave Edwards won his first 30 lap McHenry Limousine super stocks. The Lusia’s pizzeria mini modifieds 15 lap feature went to Bill Trusky of Silver Lake. The vintage race cars feature for 12 laps went to Jim Vaash of Racine. The 25 lap Performance Unlimited sportsman feature went to points leader Erik Pierce of Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

Landry Potter won round 2 of the Five-Star Race Car Bodies No-Bull series for the Super Lates. Mike Gunderson (#4) tries to hold off eventual winner Landry Potter (#57) during the Super Late Model feature. Mike Gunderson's car looked like this after a wreck in a Super Late Model heat race. But his crew got the car fixed and he had a strong run in the feature. Erik Pierce (#118) goes to the inside of Gary Norton (#5) on his way to winning the Sportsman feature.  Super Stock fast time went to Dan Huber, who was driving Tom Jastrab's car. The Mini-Modified feature was won by Bill Trusky who posed with Taylor Dawson in Victory Lane.

This coming Saturday night will add the super mini cups and weapons cars to the three regular division program. Time trials begin at 5:45 pm. races at 7pm.
