Three-wide Bandolero feature action with winner Kyle Jusits (#14) battling Kyle Palma (#17) and Jesse Bernhagen (#28).

In the INEX bandolero race cars Kenosha driver Kyle Justis, maintains his slim point lead, by winning the 14 lap feature, winning the dash and taking second in time, just missing a clean sweep. In late model action Sonny Schoffen of Crystal Lake,IL. won the 30 lap feature. Matt Booker of Wonder Lake,IL. just missed a clean sweep, by winning the Basic International feature for 20 laps, taking second in his heat and fast time. In open wheel racing, Jeff LaSage of Elgin,IL. won the 20 lap feature.

The bandolero feature started off with rookie driver Alex Arelano in front of the field. Steven Grossman was second with Kyle Palma third. Jesse  Bernhagen spin on lap third causing a Yellow Book USA caution period. On the restart Palma out ran Arelano to the corner, with another caution on lap five as Grossman spun while running midpack. One lap later Hope Bidlack headed to the pits with problems. Palma led until the INEX Official sent him to the pits for unknown reasons. This set up a Arelano and Kyle Justis duel for the lead. Three laps later Justis inched ahead and won the race six laps later. Arelano took second, with Jesse Bernhagen third in his best run to date here. Aaron Moyer was fourth, with Palma fifth.

It took Jeff LaSage just three laps to move through the field and go on to victory in the rascal outlaw feature. Chris Bedore was second, with John LaSage third, Keith Christophersen in his first night out was fourth. Bill Gundlach was fifth and Mark Findley sixth in the non stop event.

The legends feature was another great race as Ross Kenseth moved in front of the pack with Ryan Miles in second and Kyle LaPier third. On lap three Miles and LaPier got around Kenseth, as Tom Palma in his first night out climbed into fourth. By lap five Ernie Schaal the birthday driver was third, right behind LaPier. Two laps later he was second with LaPier out front. It still looked like a parade lap by lap eight, when Schaal got past LaPier. Palma went to the pits the next go round, for unknown reasons, as the leader had a small advantage. Michael Bilderback the quick qualifier entered third place on lap eleven, with Curt Gnatzig glued to his back side. Rookie Don Fort Jr. was now along side him, as things tightened up with four laps to go. Down to the wire you could have put a blanket over the top five. Schaal won the race with Bilderback nipping LaPier for second, Gnatzig was fourth, Fort fifth and Miles sixth, as the top three came across the line three deep.

In the BIC feature Nick Henning led the twenty car field for the first four laps before Kevin Hall moved by. It was a dead heat on lap eleven with Steve Doherty side by side with the leader. Hill regained the top spot one lap later and looked like
it was his night until there were three laps to go,when fast timer Matt Booker caught Hill and slipped in front for the win.Hill was along side in second, with Tom Homan third, Doherty was fourth, Leo Bujak fifth and Ryan Andrews sixth in another close race.

The late model feature started off with rookie Jack Rabey in front of the group for one lap before Carrie Dygon swiftly moved out front. Paul Edmundson raced side by side with the leader, before taking over the top spot on lap five. The new leader moved to a three car advantage, with Joe Rusciano second, Andy Evraets was all over the runner up, before moving around him on lap nine. There were two Yellow Book USA caution periods during the next eight laps, with Edmundson running a clean line out front. That second slowdown gave Sonny Schoffen the help he needed, gaining the lead, after a
great run along Edmundson. The next five laps just behind Edmundson, Ralph Gentile and Keith Tolf put on a show for third. Dygon spun on lap twenty two, setting up another quick run by Tolf and last weeks feature winner Brian Ulrich. When the green flag flew for those final laps, Evraets spun while running fourth and the final caution would be displayed, just as Tolf moved in front. On the restart, scorers went back to the last completed full lap and Schoffen was the leader. That’s the way it would end, as Tolf could not set up the run he had before that final slowdown. Schoffen won the main event with Tolf ahead of Ulrich, Edmundson in a real good run, Paul Dygon was fifth and Gentile sixth.

Next Friday night the late models, BIC’s, Mini modifieds, Legends, Bandolero and weapons all race. Time trials begin at 6pm.racing at 7:30 sharp. It will be Nestles of Burlington night at the races.
