Snow and Cold Force LGR Cancellation!

April 23, 2005; Lake Geneva, WI. - In Wisconsin we get a
variety of weather, sometimes all in the same day. The third week of stock car racing at
Lake Geneva Raceway was forced to cancel Saturday night, due to snow, wind and cold.
Next Saturday night the first Midwest sportsman championship series event will take place.
Two time champion Jeremy Miller of Rockton ,Illinois will be back to defend his title. A
field of over 22 cars are expected. This series run at LGR and Slinger Speedway a total of
six times, with three at each track. Powersource racing engines of Fox Lake. IL. is the
series sponsor. This will be the third season for the series that is aimed at the true
little guy in racing that dont care to travel around the region to win a
championship.
There is a point fund and one lucky driver that qualifies for the drawing
may win the Powersource racing engines, short block.
The super late models and McHenry Limousine super stocks will also be here. There will be
no increase in spectator admission. Time trials begin at 5:45 and the first race at 7 pm. |
