Mason Mitchell came all the way from Iowa and won a Super Mini-Cup heat race.

Vincent Merry of Wadsworth,IL. won his first career super late model contest,a 25 lap feature for the first twenty five lap event.Eddie May of Crystal Lake,IL. won his eighth super late model feature, the second feature of the evening.Former legends driver and current NASCAR touring elite series driver Jeff Way of Burlington won the overall finish with his fourth in the first feature and then third in the second feature.Way won by one point over May.The super mini cups came from 5 states to participate in a special event sponsored by Valvoline motor oil. The winner of the 20 lap feature that went down to the wire, was Carol Stream,IL.driver Barndon Scurto. The super mini cups presented Valvoline products to all division that raced tonight. A big thank you goes out to President Jeff Myers and the group.

The sportsman feature was just two laps old when Denny Norton Jr. spun causing a Yellow Book USA caution period. Adam Mass who led those first two laps, darted out front again holding the lead for the next three laps before Kenny Joosten moved in front until the next caution for a Gary LaMonte spin on lap eight. Joosten out ran Mass to the corner by just inches,as John Senerchia moved in right behind them. Gary Norton was now fourth.By lap eleven the field was very tight ,as Senerchia had moved into second. The race would remain non stop to finish, as Joosten claimed his second feature of the series.Senerchia was second, with Erik Pierce third, John Janssen fourth, James Swan was fifth and Mass was sixth.A post race inspection dropped Senerchia from the finish and Gary Norton moved up to sixth,as everyone moved up.

Mike Gunderson only in his fourth night of super late model competition moved in front of the twenty car field at the drop of the green, holding the top spot until lap six when Michael Kruschke moved in front. This would be short lived as the new
leader dropped out one lap later after the black flag came out.Gunderson again became the leader as Vincent Merry regrouped himself and charged back in front on lap thirteen and never looked back for his first victory. Rob Summers was second, with Mike Meyerhofer, Jeff Way, Gunderson and Jamie Wallace next.

The second feature brought Joe Fischer out front with Don Collins, Rick Corso and Fran Prestay tonight fast qualifier next.Corso moved from third to second by lap five, before Eddie May moved in and then passed him on lap eleven.By lap
sixteen May caught Fischer before passing for the lead. While this was going on   Prestay was following May’s every move, before securing second one lap later. The five lap dash for the win was close, as May crossed the line before Prestay
Way was at his side in third, with Corso fourth,Fischer fifth and Kent Burkoth sixth in another non stop event.

Vaughn Lesko took the lead in the super stock feature, before second generation driver Jamie Starks moved in front.Tom Jastrab, Tom Roney, Randy Schneider and points leader Scott Norton. Schneider moved into second on lap two, with some
shuffling going on for the top twelve positions. Schneider moved in front on lap five with Norton right on his tail. For the next five laps it was a see/saw battle top front with Schneider holding his own until lap ten when Norton crept by. Other than
Mike Gunderson joining the top three, the next ten laps didn’t change many things. Norton held back the challenges from second place finisher Schneider and Gunderson your at his side.Roney, Ken Eisbrenner and fast in time, Adam Regnier
were next for this non stop contest.

This coming Saturday night R.A. Adams Enterprises of McHenry,IL.  presents the trailer races. The super late models, super stocks and Rascal Outlaws Will be here in a full race program.Time trials begin at 5:45 and the first race
