Tonight was Five Star Fabrication of Twin Lakes and Kunes Country Ford of Delavan night at the races, with round two of the no bull super late model series round two. Eddie May of Crystal Lake just three car lengths in front for the victory and $1000 for his efforts. Mike Gunderson from Wind Lake won the 25 lap McHenry Limousine super stock feature by just a few feet in  front of field and John Janssen of Burlington won his first ever 25 lap feature for the Performance unlimited sportsman cars in the non stop event.

Mike Meyerhofer flew in front of the super late model field of twenty at the drop of the first green .Jerry Cowan held onto second for one lap before Jeff Way got around him then quickly worked on the leader. Matt Kocourek slipped into third, with Randy Rodgers working on a fading Cowan. Way moved along side Meyerhofer, but never moved in front at the wire. Way spun on lap eleven, bringing out the first Yellow pages USA caution period. Len Nowosel in his first visit of the season spun two laps later and the race came to another halt.

After that line up, Kocourek and Cowan picked the right spots during the cone line up challenging the leader for the next five laps, before Kocourek spun bringing out another caution. On the restart Eddie May needed two laps to get past Meyerhofer. Eight laps later Fran Prestay who tried everything to get past Meyerhofer succeeded on lap twenty eight. Then came another caution as Rodgers and Meyerhofer went around.Things became very tight up front on the restart, as ten laps later Prestay and Landry Potter made contact and out came another caution. Five laps went by before Prestay and Terry Patnode tangled while running fourth and fifth.

Each time May maintained his lead. Behind him on that restart he now had Kent Burkoth and Jamie Wallace to contend with. With the white flag out, the set up for a great finish was eliminated with another caution. This made for a green, white, checkered single file finish as May came across the line in front of a fast charging Wallace, Burkoth was right at his side in third, with Cowan and Jacob Humphrey next.

Tom Jastrab climbed in front of the super stock feature with Tom Fay, Willy Peterson and James Swan in the Jamie Stark ride next. Al Kuphal and Adam Regnier got together on lap six, halting the action. The next green brought Swan up to work on the leader, taking six laps to move in front.Mike Gunderson followed the new leader, as did Scott Norton. The top ten were side by side the final five laps. On the twenty third lap Swan got wide in turn four and Gunderson stuck his nose inside. Coming through the corner contact was made. The final lap brought the crowd to their feet, as Swan passed the leader through turn three into four. Gunderson came across the line first with Norton nipping Swan for second after that incident. Bob Moeller was fourth and Jastrab completing the top five.

The sportsman feature was an all John Janssen show leading every lap of the non-stop race. The race was for second as Erik Pierce nipped points leader Kenny Joosten at the wire.Kenny Smart and Jamie Dorsey were nearly a dead heat for fourth and fifth, finishing just that way.

Next Saturday night will include a roll over contest.along with a full race program. Time trials begin at 5:45 pm. with the first race at 7 sharp.Cornwell Tool dealer will sponsor the night.
