The Chuck’s Storage dash for cash was a photo finish as John Maki Jr. won
the event by four inches and Gary Norton did the same thing in the sportsman
dash, winning the race by just inches.

Russ Blaklely fresh from his qualifying attempt at another nearby speedway flew in front at the drop of the double greens. Rick Corso slipped inside with Vincent Merry and James Swan all over the leader. The next ten laps Corso drew close to the leader, but never led at the line. By lap twelve Kent Burkoth and Jamie Wallace joined the battle up front. On lap twenty Wallace crept past Merry with the top two some distance ahead .One lap later after a lengthy fight, Corso moved
in front. Quickly Wallace eyed an opening and slipped under Merry, with Landry Potter now sixth.

Lap twenty three Corso could feel the pressure of Wallace knocking on his door, four laps later after a clean run, Wallace grabbed the lead. By lap thirty eight the leader had built up a good advantage, but then Jeff Holmgren Jr. and Merry
made contact, bringing out the first Yellow Book USA caution period. On the restart Blakeley made a come back after picking the right lane after the cone came out, moving back into second. That was a short lived feat, as Corso rebounded
within three laps. The final caution came with five laps to go, as Merry again had problems stalling in turn two after spinning.

This set up a dash for the finish, as Wallace marched out front for the win, as Corso claimed second, with Burkoth nipping Blakeley for third. 2004 champion Randy Rodgers was fifth and Potter sixth.

The super stock feature saw Ken Eisbrenner scoot in front on the start, with Tom Jastrab, Al Kuphal and John Maki Jr. trying to move up. Right behind these go getters were Tom Fay and Craig Mertes tight on their heels. On lap six Fay moved into second with Maki ready to pounce. Three laps later he did make his move, securing second.17 year old Josh Wallace entered the top four on lap twelve as Eisbrenner did not want to see a caution, but lap twenty two,Wallace had right
front tire go down and out came the caution.

This gave race fans another great dash for this time eight laps.Eisbrenner didn’t have to worry about Maki, as he had Fay trying everything to get by. Quick timer Mike Gunderson pulled off a slick move with his three deep maneuver that harmed
no one,but put him in fourth place with six laps to go. The race for second was the show on the track as Adam Regnier got past Maki with one lap to go. The final go round was spectacular, as Eisbrenner was securely in front and the winner. Maki
came back nipping Regnier for second, with Gunderson taking fourth, Fay took fifth and Tom Roney sixth ending a real great race.

Adam Berge moved in front of the sportsman feature, as Erik Pierce, Ken Smart, Kenny Joosten and defending champion Jeremy Bloomberg were in hot pursuit. Smart moved into second with Bloomberg right behind him. From lap eleven to twenty two, Bloomberg and Berge put of a great show for the lead with the lead changing many times, before the two made contact and out came the caution. Both were regaled to the rear. Then before the next lap could be  completed, Wally Morgan got together with Berge, stopping the action one more time.

Smart was the new leader and held back the challenges from Joosten for the win. Pierce was third, with Gary Norton, John Fischer and a recovered  Bloomberg.

Weekly racing for the 39th. season continues every Saturday night. Time trials Begin at 5:45 pm. racing at 7 sharp.
