LGR 2005 Schedule Released
Legends and Bandolero Qualifier

December 2, 2004; Lake Geneva, WI. - The 2005 schedule for Lake Geneva Raceway, noted as Wisconsin’s busiest race track,has been released. Starting off with the 27th. annual BARS “let’s go racing” auto show, March 18th.19th. and 20th. The practice weekend will be March 26th. and the 27th.Then the first oval track weekly show will be Saturday night April 9th. the super late models,super stocks and sportsman will all race that first night to kick off the season. The season will run through September 24th.

The biggest news for the season is a major regional event will take place on Saturday night July 9th. with the first ever INEX regional qualifier for the bandolero race cars and also the legend cars. This show could produce some 70 extra race cars, as Speedway auto Mall,out of Machesney Park,Illinois will bring this show here. ”Race fans really enjoyed the legends show last season,even with the rain out on the night scheduled.Drivers from some 11 states came out and this year we expect a lot more interest and the bandolero cars will be new to a lot of fans”, stated Kevin Dawson owner of the raceway.

The very popular no bull series for the super late models will be May 21st. July 23rd. and August 27th. By popular demand the vintage modifieds will return for another display and exhibition feature on September 17th .The Al Schill Jr. memorial race will have it’s date announced soon. Super late models from around the region will race against the LGR regulars in an extra purse show, along with the super stocks.

The extremely popular trailer races will be Saturday May 28th.Saturday July 2nd. and a date in August to be announced. The big two day show has been renamed the Bud light Fall Classic, topping off the season on Saturday October 1st. and Sunday October 2nd.with some 350 race cars competing in the largest program of it’s type in the Midwest.

Weekly Friday night racing will start off alittle different twist,with a small car world class spring opener of the 6th. of May.All the small car divisions that race every Friday throughout the season will be here and possibly the Burris circle track Pro Karts
if their schedule has an open date.Weekly shows will run through September 2nd. On Friday September 9th. the annual tournment of Destruction will take place. Then the largest small car single night show in the region will take place on Friday September 30th.as the 9th. annual Small car world championship brings in the three night weekend.
