By Dale R. Erdmann

May 22, 2004; Lake Geneva, WI. - At Lake Geneva Raceway the show must go on and that’s what the officials and drivers tried to do.With a great field of race cars in the pit area a brave crowd came to see some stock car racing and they did see a small show.

Race fans that hold onto their ticket from this show will receive free spectator admission for the season opener next Friday night May 28th.

Time trials were not run because just as the first division would have qualified rain hit the area.It took over one hour and a half to dry the track and the McHenry Limousine super stocks heats were run. Dan Clemenz won the first heat, Tom Roney the second and third to Dave Melahn.

Then the rain came as the first millennium late model heat came to track. It would have taken at least one hour to dry the surface again and the show was called complete with all drivers paid according to average points earned this season. Super stock drivers were paid for their heats run.

This coming Saturday night May 29th. R.A. Adams Enterprises out of McHenry, Illinois will sponsor the first trailer race of the season. Extra money for the super late models, super stocks and sportsman  for the first and second places, along with one to be determined finishing position at race time will also be paid extra money.
