On Saturday September 27th. and Sunday September 28th. some 300 race cars will invade the paved banked one third mile oval located in Southeastern Wisconsin, along the Illinois state line, less than one hour from over 8 million people. Divisions to race include the super late model cars, topping off their two days here will be a 75 lap feature race with a $2000 price tag for the winner. Race cars from LGR, Grundy, Slinger, Dells, WIR, Norway, Illiana and Madison are expected. The Performance Unlimited limited late models are a strong group with the Columbus, Jefferson cars finishing at the top last year. The new millennium late models that race here and Illiana will race with the division.The Dells sportsman and Rockford late models will also run with this class. The McHenry Limousine super street stocks will have a good field as the Jefferson and Columbus tracks have large fields of these cars. The Rockford and LaCrosse grand national sportsman along with Slinger stingers will also be competitive with this class. The Burlington Glass street stocks will include the LGR super stocks, Jefferson and Columbus hobby stocks, Dells pure stocks, Rockford road runners, Hales whales, Grundy street stocks, Illiana stockers and Kalamazoo factory stocks. The pure stocks will bring cars from LGR and Wilmot BIC, Hales Mud puppies, Lions club little stocks, Jefferson and Columbus bandits, Rockford hornets and Slinger bees. For the first time in three years the Midwest style modifieds will run. These cars run at Slinger and Columbus. The Dodge county fairgrounds mods and others like IMCA style mods are also welcomed with the correct tires under the rules. For the second year the Midwest enduro cars will race. The MESCS rules will apply. Running a separate show each day the Wisconsin mini sport trucks will be here in full force. The information guide is now available. Qualifying heats and the race of champions will take place that night and the world champion one on one racing will take place. On Sunday a day of features will begin at 1 pm. A weekend pass will be
sold on Saturday for just $25 for adults. Juniors 8 to 14 are just $12. Kids under 8 are
free with any adult purchase. Separate tickets for either day will be sold both days. |
