A weekly division that has not been here since 1998, are the INEX bandolero cars. This group is led by LGR champion, Wisconsin and Illinois, top guns INEX champion 11 year old Michael Bilderback out of South Beloit, Illinois. His impressive record includes 15 feature wins, 10 heat race wins and fast time the 5 nights these cars were timed, one of them shattering the 5 year old one lap qualifying mark record. Bilderback was the 2002 Burris Circle kart tour champion and will compete here in that division too. Others expected will be second in points Michael Cooter who won a feature. Third in points Brian Heberlin, 8 year old Bobby Yonkee the 2003 Illinois bandits INEX champion, David Cooter Jr., second generation drivers Kyle LaPier and Steve Erickson Jr. along with Perry Mitchell, the lone female driver Sara ODell and the oldest driver 62 year old Jimmy Quick. The division with the most rookies are the mini modifieds, four time champion Ken Johnson from Paddock Lake was the point leader and is looking at another crown. Their championship will be part of this program, as the group celebrates their 11th. anniversary. Mike VanHouten is second in points, the 1997 rookie of the year is red hot lately and still within striking distance. Substitute driver Phil Schultz a former champion is looking for a win after a great beginning of the season. Second year driver Curt Thomazin is currently fourth in points and had fast time once this year. 2002 "Co-rookie of the year" and feature winner Chris Marinello is fifth. The Perfection Auto Body legend cars have had some close racing all season, even on the nights they were short on cars. There championship will be tonight. Steve Licht of Burlington is looking for his first crown. Just 65 points behind the leader is defending champion Curt Gnatzig. All season its been a see/saw battle for the title. Herman Greinig won his first feature of the season September 5th. is third, with rookie Joe Scala fourth and winner of two features Lyle Kuklinski fifth. Drivers from Marshfield Speedway are expected to be here, as they have two other shows during the weekend. Two open wheel classes will be run together the Formula Indy cars and the Northern Michigan cars. Vern Brown out of Waunakee won the last feature here.Wally Reitz won two features this season at LGR. From the Michigan group John Miller holds the all time track record for a one lap of qualifying. Neal Gillentine has had fast time on two occasions and Ken Losch who always brings in a large following. The Rascal Outlaws another open wheel group have had a competitive season here led by point leader Butch Torkelson of Fox Lake,IL. Craig Carlson who won the feature on their last visit here on August 22nd. Others include Mark Findley, Dave Colletti and Kip Novotny. The Great Lakes Allison legacy cars will also be on the card, with Keith Tolf out of Kenosha one of the many drivers coming here. Tolf also runs a millennium race car. Female competitor Sarah Schaub,16 year old Matt Byrne, Brad Kossow who also runs a millennium car and Mike Connley. The Central states super mini cup cars have been here 7 times on the weekly Friday show. Dick Behrendt had a great night last time here, with a clean sweep of the group. Brian Baldyga, Ken Jones, Tim Toussaint and Jeff Myers are just afew of the drivers going to be here. This could be the largest show for the small cars. Time trials will begin at 6pm. races are slated for 7:30pm. If spectators purchase the weekend pass for just $25, Friday night will be included for no charge. Separate tickets will be available for just that evening at just $10 each for adults. Juniors are $5 and any show children under 8 are free with an adult purchase. The location is one and one half miles from downtown Lake Geneva on Bloomfield Road. From Chicago,Milwaukee or Madison we are less than one hour in travel time.
