Another Rainout at LGR!
By Dale Erdmann

April 19, 2003; Lake Geneva, WI. -  For the second time this season the weather played a big part in the Saturday night race program at Lake Geneva Raceway. Heavy rain fell around 2pm. and the weather service used by the raceway showed a small window around 6 to 7:30 pm. of actual sun light then even more rain. This gave owner and promoter Kevin Dawson something he vowed earlier in the day he would not do. At 3pm. the show would not go on as it was cancelled.

”This really hurt after all the first leg of the no bull series for the super late models were to compete and the first ever appearance of the Midwest sportsman series”, stated Dawson.

In last weeks press release it was incorrectly stated that the Midwest sportsman series would compete four times at LGR and Slinger. The total is actually eight shows. Three at both LGR and Slinger and twice at Rockford Speedway.

This show will now take place on May 3rd.with both events along with the McHenry Limousine super stocks. The first school bus race of the season moves to May 17th.

This coming Saturday night April 26th. will be the Junior fan club ride in the race cars as the Budweiser super late models, the super stocks and the first time this year the Performance Unlimited sportsman cars will be here.

Time trials begin at 5:45 pm. racing at 7pm. sharp. The weather phone is 262-248-8566 .
