February 16, 2002; Lake Geneva, WI. - Back in 1991 the now defunet M&S Distributors out of Kenosha was Lake Geneva Raceway’s Anheuser Busch supplier. In 1999 Beechwood Distributors out of New Berlin became Southeastern Wisconsin’s new supplier. They co sponsored yearly programs along with another beer distributor at the raceway.

After three seasons of a great relationship it was co announced Friday January 25th. that Lake Geneva Raceway and Beechwood Distributors would enter into a five year agreement sponsoring the complete yearly stock car racing program.

Starting Saturday night April 6th. the weekly program will offer at least $700 to win the super late model feature even though there may be no sponsor of the night like those earlier shows in April sometimes bring.

“This is just the icing on the cake” stated Dale Erdmann Public Relations Director at the raceway since 1978.”After 10 years of hard work stock car racing finally gets the front seat here .We knew we had a great race program and with Beechwoods help and their great advertising campaign a lot more folks will know about us”added Erdmann.

The program consists of a lot of sponsorships at the raceway and a huge advertising budget. The details of the plan will be in an later release.

For the first time in the history of the raceway over $270,000 was paid out to the drivers that compete on Friday and Saturday nights along with the special events throughout the 2001 season.

The 2002 season for the Saturday night weekly program will run April 6th. through October 5th. Weekly Friday night racing runs weekly May 17th. through August 30th.
