First Rainout of Season at Lake Geneva Raceway!

April 27, 2002; Lake Geneva, WI. For the first time in three weeks out Lake Geneva Raceway was forced to cancel their rain program after rain started to fall around 11am. We usually don’t cancel that early but Promoter Kevin Dawson saw the temperatures dip to the low 40’s quickly and had no other choice but call off the fourth week of Saturday night racing.

The Planet Pages Mid American series was set for their biggest show in years along with the regular Budweiser super late models and McHenry Limousine super stocks.In this early stage of the season Joe Fischer and Al Schill are tied for the point lead in the super late models which has been averaging some 30 plus cars per night. The defending super stock champion Jack Rubach has a slim lead over rookie Sonny Schoffen.

Saturday night May 4th. the super late models and super stocks will be joined by the Friday night Archor Towing BIC cars and the Millennium late models.Time trials are now at 5:45pm. first race at 7pm. sharp. Regular admission prices will be in place. Children under 8 are always free with any adult admission ticket purchase.

The weekly Pro Moto Cross racing begins this Friday May 3rd. at 8 pm. This program takes place on a stadium dirt course. Bleacher seating is available with a paid admission to the spectator area where you can witness most action on the course. Over 300 riders are expected from the local and regional ranks.
