Schill Jr. Memorial Dash back for third season!

March 18, 2001; Lake Geneva, WI. It was announced today that Kevin Baker owner of Baker's Reconditioning Company located on the grounds of Milwaukee Metro Auto auction in Raymond, Wisconsin would again sponsor the
Al Schill Jr. Memorial dash at Lake Geneva Raceway .

The dash is named after the 1994 late model rookie of the year and former 1995 champion, Al Schill Jr. Schill died March 29th. 1999 at his home in Norway township. The weekend before this tragic loss was outstanding. Al Jr. would take fast time and then take second in the spring opener in a RE/MAX Challenge Series event.

The dash is used by the super late model drivers that race here. Each night during the weekly regular season the top six drivers in time participate in this event. At the end of the season who ever wins the most dash events, will receive a $700 bonus at the annual awards banquet next January. Last season champion Landry Potter and Kent Burkoth tied for the award. The raceway will open it's gates for the 36th. season on April 14th.
