10th Annual O'Doul's October Classic Next at LGR!

September 21, 2001; Lake Geneva, WI. The biggest three day race program comes to Lake Geneva Raceway September 28th. through the 30th. The October classic will again be in September. On Friday night September 28th. will be there 4th.small car world championships.

The Gem Pro karts, Rascal Outlaws, Dwarf cars, Formula Indy and North Michigan Class, the Great Lakes Allison Legacy series, Super Mini Cup cars and the 4 cylinder cars. Plus the herb’s mini modifieds will hold their championship race. Ken Johnson of Paddock Lake is looking for his fourth straight championship in this class that originally started off on the dirt. Time trials begin at 6 pm. racing at 7:30 p.m. sharp. Over150 cars are expected.

Then on Saturday the 29th. over 300 race cars will invade the one third mile paved banked oval. Coming in for this show will be super late models sponsored by Central Services. The Performance Unlimited limited late models, McHenry Limousine super stocks, the Burlington glass and Radiator street stocks, Midwest Enduro cars and the Wisconsin mini sport trucks with two complete shows both days. Plus the McLeodUSA Stock cars and super trucks in point series events both days. There will be a clash of champions race. Time trials will begin at 1pm. Races start at 6 pm. Topping off that evening will be a world championship one on one Street drags competition with a $1000 to win price tag for a min. of 15 cars.
 
On Sunday there will be lots of feature action for all divisions. New this year will be a $2000 to win the 50 lap feature, with $200 to start. Drivers from Grundy, Slinger, WIR, Norway, Marshfield, Dells, Madison and Lake Geneva Raceway will compete. “It’s a shame that there will be another show where the Illinana cars can’t be here.We have used this weekend for 10 years and now they run a show that weekend”, stated Dale Erdmann PR Director. Former champions here will all be out there at once.

Two time champion Landry Potter heads the list.From the past seasons Al Schill, Conrad Morgan, Fran Prestay, Jamie Wallace and Eddie May will all be here.It’s a fun weekend and we hope the race fans will enjoy it.
 
Visiting drivers like Ken Olson and Scott”Chico”Riedner have been big supporters of this show. The Wisconsin mini sport trucks come with a full field of trucks and enjoy the weekend so much they race two complete shows. Topping off Sundays “Day of features” will be a world championship roll over contest with a $1000 to win price tag on a field of 15 cars minimum.$500 goes to second place.
 
Separate tickets are available each day.But a weekend spectator pass is just $25 for all three shows.Juniors 8 to 14 will be just $12 and children with any adult admission purchase will be free. Parking is also free and “rough it” camping available with weekend passes. The raceway is located in Southeastern Wisconsin less than one hour from Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago and Rockford.
