Jerry Cowan jumped in front of the super late models feature that went three laps before a caution for Ryan Matthews who ramp officials believed was leaking oil. After pulling along side the ramp it was discovered that a major oil leak was present and Matthews night was over. As the next green appeared Cowan stayed ahead of Ron Stroehr Larry Los and Brian Ulrich who all over the leader. Within afew laps Terry Patnode and Matt Kocourek joined the fray as Los inched ahead of Stroehr and closed in on the leader.

By lap eight Cowan could feel the pressure from Los and Patnode. Los drew dead even with the leader the next go round and they diced back and forth until lap eleven when Cowan moved back in front as Patnode had to wait for a mistake .Kocourek moved past Stroehr one lap later and things were tight at the top. By lap fifteen Patnode eased his way around Los and then moved in on the leader two laps later.Joining the close quarters at the top Fran Prestay and Landry Potter got between Los and Kocourek.

Cowan drove a tight line looking like he was in firm command of the spot until Patnode finally inched ahead on lap twenty one.The next caution came one lap later after the leader spun in turn two with everyone missing him. On the restart Cowan was out dragged to the corner by Los who charged in front.Once Potter got by Cowan on lap twenty seven it was close but Los was  in total control of the top spot until the end of lap thirty four. That’s when the leader got wide but out powered his challenger with the white flag being displayed. Los cruised to victory with Potter next Kocourek was at his side Cowan held onto fourth and fast qualifier Jamie Wallace fifth back where the race was extremely tight through twelveth position.

The green flag had just came out when Rob Summers got squeezed into the wall by Scott Eggebrecht causing the race to come to a halt with one lap in.Jack Rubach the point leader scooted out front a drop of the next green with Byron Oaks and Trevor Mock trying to get by.Mock moved into second on lap three with Oaks and Eggebrecht and Mike Kooi all wanting third.Pete Olson joined the cluster near the front on lap ten with Rubach just ahead of Mock.

Olson moved into third on lap twelve as fast timer Dave Melahn entered the picture in fourth. Mock continued to work on Rubach who has been plagued with problems the last two weeks. The lead changed on lap seventeen two laps later Rubach slowed with Melahn and Olson moving around him. First year driver Mock held onto the front spot but two laps to go the veteran Melahn got by and went on to win the event over Mock Olson as Kooi nipped Rubach for fourth.

Because of the number of super stocks cars two semi’s were run, Tom Roney won the first one and Dan Huber the second. In the second one Adam Regnier had just moved past two cars as the one driven by Nick Nelson made contact causing it to spin right and into the wall being hit as Brad Spiniolos became involved. No one was injured by Regnier’s car received extensive damage.

Al Coopland paced the field of the sportsman feature with Mark Guess' Joe Francisco' Nick Schumacher' and Jocko Terrault next. Rookie Ken Joosten was nearly collected on the wall as everyone shattered trying to avoid him.Denny Norton Jr. and Gary LaMonte became involved. When the dust cleared LaMonte had lots of damage but no one was injured.
