Tim Toussaint moved in front of Dick Behrendt Ken Jones and Brian Baldyga at the drop of the first green of the super mini cup feature. By lap five Baldyga was right behind the leader with a tight field behind him. The first car to be lapped came on lap eleven as the lead two were still side by side. With just three laps to go Baldyga edged ahead but Toussaint inching back in front from time to time.

The only caution came before that lap ended as Joe Soltis spun and was hit by the four behind him. No one was hurt but Soltis night was over.On the restart it was going to be a close one as the top six could not be separated. At the wire Baldyga was the winner with Toussaint Jones Behrendt and Rich Dawson under a blanket.

Lyle Kuklinski was the early leader of the legends feature before Herman Greonig took over the front spot. Three cautions ensued as Greonig held the lead until lap ten as Clayton Kruse moved in front. Al Smith didn’t let the new leader get out of sight as the pressure was applied at the right time with the white  flag out it was a dead heat but Smith came off the final turn in front and won the race by inches in one of the best races of the night.

Hermie Schultz grabbed the lead of the mini modified feature after starting in the front row outside. Bill Trusky worked on the leader three laps before moving in front.Mike Heuss returned after a few weeks away but was having good lucky on the day before a full moon.Glen Verneeze tried to get around Schultz but Joe Miller stepped in front of him to gain third with Trusky taking over the lead on lap four.

It was extremely close with Miller moving around Schultz on lap six. Phil Schultz was in brother Jeff’s mount just waiting for a mistake by Verneeze. If anything was going to happen with the close competition it would take out the field. On lap nine Miller moved in on Trusky with Ken Johnson pulling off a slick move to take over third before that lap ended.Miller knew it was now or never and crept around Trusky.

The next five laps were too close to call as Miller held on for the win. Johnson nipped Trusky for second with Hermie Schultz next and Verneeze on his tail for fifth.

Over 50 BIC cars timed in as twenty took the green in the 20 lap feature Todd Miller led just two laps before Jerry Reize shot in front. By lap ten the field was spread out from turn one back to turn four with Tony Buerafato getting a big break and then taking over the lead before that lap ended. A great race followed the new leader who won the event over Bill Webb who nipped Chris Koleno Jr. at the wire for second. Point leader Todd Booker was fourth with fast timer Jeff Baum next and Randy Schneider fifth.

There are just four more Friday night programs on the 2001 schedule with time trials at 6pm. Racing begins at 7:30 pm. for the mini modifieds, BIC cars, legends millennium late models and another appearance of the Rascal Outlaws in their challenge points series.
