Busy holiday weekend set at LGR!

Special; Lake Geneva, WI. The first holiday weekend for the start of the racing season is here and Lake Geneva Raceway has announced their line up.

Weekly Friday night stock car racing returns for the first time since 1981. The new race program for 2000 will include BIC cars. These cars are free from the raceway if you meet the requirements for the 14 week schedule. Officials hope to see some 75 of these cars by mid season. The new Millennium race series cars, along with the Jefferson late models will also run weekly. Opening night divisions for the May 26th. show, include the sport trucks, the Legend cars and Rascal Outlaws.

The weekly Friday night moto cross show continues on the stadium dirt course at 8 pm. Over 300 riders compete each week.

On Saturday night weekly racing will be sponsored by Bumper to bumper. The first trailer race of the season will top off an evening of super late model, super stocks and sportsman racing. Time trials both nights are at 6 pm. racing at 7:30pm sharp.

On Monday May 28th. the Midwest Enduro stock car series kicks off their season with the original "Cherry Bomber" 299 lap race at 1 pm. There will be rides in the race cars at noon and beauty contest for the best car entered at 12:30 pm. Some 60 to 100 cars are excepted to start the race that was the first enduro contest in the state of Wisconsin, back in 1985.
