Early spring snow stops LGR opener.

April 8, 2000; Lake Geneva, WI. -  Something southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois saw very little of during the winter season, snow came one day before the 2000 season opener at Lake Geneva Raceway. Nearly eight inches of wet heavy snow fell on Friday afternoon and evening, as strong winds and low temperatures stayed around Saturday, causing officials to cancel the first weekly Saturday night race program of the year.

Next Saturday night April 15th, the Super Late Models, Super Stocks and LGR Sport Trucks will take to the one third mile paved banked oval. Weather permitting.

Time trials begin at 6pm.and the first race starts at 7:30pm sharp. This is the 35th season of racing here at Lake Geneva Raceway. The track phone is (262) 248-8566.
