MIDWEST SPORTSMAN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

The MSCS series is back for their second season at the Lake Geneva Raceway. The series will consist of at least 7 races with three race nights scheduled at the Raceway. The series will make its 2004 debut on Saturday, May 1st. Returning on Saturday’s June 5th and August 14th. The series will also be going to Slinger on May 22nd, July 3rd and September 11th. The purse will remain the same with the feature winner guaranteed $500.00. The promoters involved will fund a $2400.00 year-end championship purse by taking $300.00 from each race and putting it in the year-end championship purse.

Power Source has again stepped up to the plate for this series, with a Sportsman (MSCS) motor to be given out at the October Classic by random draw. The requirements are you must make all of the MSCS races (currently 6 are scheduled), carry the Power Source decal on both sides of the car, and race at the Classic (in any division).  I wish to thank Ray for his efforts to make this series a success.

The unofficial website for the series is www.mscsracing.net

LIMITED LATE MODEL SPRING FLING

Mark your calendars for April 17th Saturday night. This special is designed for Jefferson/Columbus Late Models and our Millenniums.

The 8” Goodyear tire is required, in addition cars competing with the GM crate motor will be allowed to race (as long as other rules are met)

Overall weight is 2750 lbs with rev limiters and 2800 lbs for Jefferson/Columbus style Late Models without limiters.

This will be an appearance only point show (since we will be mixing some specials cars) for our Millennium Late Models. All cars participating will receive 300 championship points.

This should be a great way to start our Millennium Late Model season.

Watch for another announcement for the Millennium to join Jefferson for their season opener.

LUISA’S PIZZA FROM SALEM, WISCONSIN

SPONSORS THE MINI MODS

Luisa’s pizza has announced that they are sponsoring the Friday night Mini Mod class.

Luisa’s is located on Hwy 50 and 317th Ave. in Salem, Wisconsin with a second location in Delavan on Hwy 50.

Speaking from personal experience this is the best pizza and Italian food in the area. They also have carryout and delivery available. The casual atmosphere in the restaurant and bar, yes they have a bar also, is very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. However, if you get brave and order the stuffed pizza allow for extra time because this baby takes a long time to cook and you will be in awe as to the size when it arrives at your table.

Luisa’s phone number is 262-537-4795 in Salem and 262-740-1610 in Delavan.
