This will be our last printed
newsletter, the production costs of printing and the inconvenience of
mailing have convinced us to join the 21st century. Hard to believe I
know.
Starting within the next week there will
be a permanent location at our website
(www.lakegenevaraceway.com) where you
can sign up for our electronic newsletter.
The new newsletter will allow us to get
updates to fans and drivers quicker and with more reliability than the
postal service. We will ask you to tell us if you are a fan, driver, or
sponsor and only the required amount of information needed to forward
you the newsletter via the internet will be asked for.
For drivers we, of course will be asking
for regular mailing addresses and phone numbers. We ask that you fill
out all the required fields. We will not be asking for social security
numbers on the web site.

TECH DAY SET FOR
SATURDAY MARCH 27TH SUNDAY MARCH 28TH
On March 27th the track will be open for
pre season tech and open practice. We will start at noon and run till
6pm. There will be tech inspectors for the Super Late Models, Sportsman,
Super Street Stocks, Millennium Late Models and the BIC’s available all
day Saturday only.
The inspectors will primarily focus on
the safety aspects of the car and you will be issued a Lake Geneva
Raceway tech decal to put on your car. After you are safety teched you
may practice. The practice price is as usual $10.00 per person, no
charge for the tow vehicle or race car.
There will be no one to handle the Minor
release forms necessary for the minor to be in the pits.
On March 28th the track will be open for
practice only. From noon till dusk.
PLEASE NO MINORS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PITS.

MIDWEST SPORTSMAN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
The MSCS series is back for their second
season at the Lake Geneva Raceway. The series will consist of at least 7
races with three race nights scheduled at the Raceway. The series will
make its 2004 debut on Saturday, May 1st. Returning on Saturday’s June
5th and August 14th. The series will also be going to Slinger on May
22nd, July 3rd and September 11th. Rockford is TENTAIVELY
scheduled for the Short Track Nationals. The purse will remain the same
with the feature winner guaranteed $500.00. The promoters involved will
fund a $2400.00 year-end championship purse by taking $300.00 from each
race and putting it in the year-end championship purse.

OPENING DAY SET FOR APRIL 3RD
After a long cold and snowy winter, we
are ready to get racing again. In only a few short weeks we will be back
to the racing season at the Lake Geneva Raceway.
The Super Late Models, Sportsman, Super
Street Stocks will all be here to hit the track for the 2004 season
opener. We have been working all winter to bring to the raceway a season
chock full of specials for all divisions, and some silly stunt nights
also.
The Five Star Triple Crown No Bull
Series for the Super Lates will be back along with the MSCS Sportsman
Series for 3 racing specials. We have added a Limited Late Model special
for April 17th. (tentative)
For our silly stunts program we‘ve added
a tournament of destruction, Semi Truck races, Semi Truck One on Ones,
to the three trailer races and the school bus races

SUPER LATE MODELS
GET NEW SPONSOR
Jim Olson Collision, located in
Woodstock and Harvard, Illinois has announced that they will be
sponsoring the Super Late models for the 2004 season. Jim’s sponsorship
guarantees the nightly feature winner $750.00.
Jim Olson, owner of Olson Collision has
come on board at the Lake Geneva Raceway sponsoring the class every
Saturday night and the three No Bull nights as well.
Olson Collision’s involvement will
guarantee the 2004 feature winners will be paid at least $750.00 to win.
We say at least because we have committed to three nights of the Five
Star No Bull Triple Crown which will pay $1000.00 to win. There will be
an additional $1000.00 in bonus point money paid to the top 3 drivers.
The Five Star No Bull Triple Crown dates
have been tentatively set for April 24th, Round two will be on June 26th
and round three on August 21st. All three races will have 75 lap
features with a $1000.00 to win.

Denny Norton, Jr. has come on board for
the 6th season as the sponsor for the Sportsman's division. His
involvement guarantees the feature winner $300.00
Performance Unlimited is located on Hwy
31 in McHenry, Illinois. Denny is the Lake Geneva Raceway Hoosier dealer
and is in the pits every Friday and Saturday night with an inventory of
Hoosier and Goodyear tires.
Denny also has posted a contingency
program not only for the Sportsman but also the Super Lates, and the
Super stocks as well.

CAR SHOW SET FOR
MARCH 20TH & MARCH 21ST
This show is one of the largest car
shows geared toward the racing industry and its fans.
Displaying your race car enables you to
expose yourself to the racing enthusiast. A potential sponsor could be
in the crowd looking at all the race cars and wondering how to get his
company name involved in racing.
The BAR’S “Lets go Racing “ show is held
at the Original Outlet mall in Kenosha, Wisconsin I94 and Hwy 50 on the

Raceway. Opening day for the Legends car is set for Friday, May 21st.

LIMITED LATE MODEL
SPRING FLING
$750.00 TO WIN
Mark your calendars for April 17th
Saturday night. This special is designed for Jefferson/Columbus Late
Models and our Millenniums.
The 8” Goodyear tire is required, in
addition cars competing with the GM crate motor will be allowed to race
(as long as other rules are met)
Overall weight is 2750 lbs with rev
limiters and 2800 lbs for Jefferson/Columbus style Late Models without
limiters.
This will be an appearance only point
show (since we will be mixing some specials cars) for our Millennium
Late Models. All cars participating will receive 300 championship
points.
This should be a great way to start our
Millennium Late Model season.
Watch for another announcement for the
Millennium to join Jefferson for their season opener.

ADDS $200.00 TO
SPORTSMAN
PURSE
Alan Brown, from Power Built Engines in Burlington,
Wisconsin has come on board as an additional sponsor of the Sportsman
Division.
Power built has added a $100.00 certificate to the
feature winner every night the Sportsman are racing at the Lake Geneva
Raceway. In addition, the Sportsman fast time qualifier and the second
place finisher will each receive a $50.00 certificate. Bringing an
additional $200.00 to the purse. This means the feature win is worth
$300.00 in cash and an additional $100.00 certificate from Power Built,
if you also had fast time, you would pick up another $50 certificate,
this would bring the feature win to a total of $450.00.
You do not have to run a Power Built Engine to
qualify for this extra purse. So please remember Alan and Power Built
Engines when and if you need some engine work done. He is supporting
your Sport so please return the complement.

location in Delavan on Hwy 50.
Speaking from personal
experience this is the best pizza and Italian food in the area. They
also have carryout and delivery available. The casual atmosphere in the
restaurant and bar, yes they have a bar also, is very comfortable. The
staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. However, if you get brave
and order the stuffed pizza allow for extra time because this baby takes
a long time to cook and you will be in awe as to the size when it
arrives at your table.

MILD TO WILD PERFORMANCE
REBUILDERS ADDS $50.00 TO STREET STOCK PURSE
Dane Lulling, a former Super Late Model driver at
the Lake Geneva Raceway, has announced an added purse program for the
Super Stock Division.
Mild to Wild Performance Rebuilders will add a
$50.00 certificate on selected nights throughout the season. Dane has
been around racing a long time and does engine, transmissions and rear
end work at his shop in Trevor, Wisconsin.
The use of his product is not required but you must
display his decal on your car.
